Eastwell has unveiled a 9/11 monument with a sculpture of the Twin Towers

Observers of the 20th anniversary of 9/11 gathered in front of the Eastwell Fire Station on Saturday morning, September 11, to unveil a new monument.

The 1-foot-tall memorial features dark gray, metallic sculptures from the Twin Towers in New York City. At night, the monument will be illuminated with blue light, designer Jackie Case said.

Case, creative director of Urban Arena, designed the sculpture and Metal Masterminds created it, a press release said.

The sculpture can be seen at Fire Station 27, 7067 Hamner Avenue.
