In order to guarantee the right of the population to education in case of illness, this Friday, September 22nd, the III. Conversation about special academic support and emotional support: Education with instead of love.
The aim of the event is to highlight the importance of comprehensive care for girls, boys, adolescents and young people who are in different environments due to illness, but also for women with high-risk pregnancies.
The task has been carried out since November 2021 together with the Government of Valle del Cauca, the Hospital Classroom Program of the Hospital Universitario del Valle and the Education Secretariat of Santiago de Cali, in order to make visible and strengthen the processes involved in supporting particular academic and emotional support to ensure the population’s right to education in the event of illness.
The third version of the conversation focuses on the benefits of comprehensive support by involving the community that surrounds this population to ensure adequate support in the educational process.
The academic activity includes the presentation of a keynote lecture by expert Ana Janeth Ibarra; and the presentation of seven significant experiences in special academic support covering the four modalities of special academic support: care in a hospital classroom, home care, care in a support facility, and care in an educational facility.
The event is aimed at teachers, teaching leaders, support professionals, carers, healthcare staff and everyone who influences the work of special academic support and emotional support.
