Demand for electric two-wheelers has risen sharply amid rising demand for petrol and diesel. Many new players have also entered the market. Hero Electric continues to be the largest seller of electric two-wheelers. However, there are two companies that have increased the tension of Hero Electric. These companies have recorded year-on-year growth of 455 per cent and 433 per cent.

According to Rushlane’s report, Hero Electric sold 7,356 units of electric vehicles last month. This is 235 per cent more than in February last year. In February 2021, the company sold 2,194 electric two-wheelers. The two companies we are talking about are Okinawa and Ampere. It ranks second and third in sales charge of electric vehicles.

Okinawa sold 5,923 units of electric vehicles in February 2022, an increase of 455 per cent over the 1,067 units sold in February 2021. Similarly, number three Ampere sold 4,303 units of electric vehicles in February 2022, which is 433 per cent more than the 806 units sold in February 2021.

Electric scooters with powerful features
Okinawa sells a total of 6 electric scooters. The company’s Dual 55Ah electric scooters offer a range of up to 120 kilometers. Its price is 83 thousand rupees. It can be used as a commercial vehicle with a loading capacity of 200kg. Similarly Ampere’s Magnus EX electric scooter has a range of more than 100 KM. It has features like anti theft alarm, remote access, and combined braking system.
