Chamba: A shocking incident has come to light from Chamba in Himachal Pradesh, where a contractor allegedly quarantined five of his laborers inside a public toilet built in an under-construction bus stand. It took place in Chamba, a Pangi tribal area in Himachal Pradesh.
Five laborers were found to be Kovid-19 positive. Talking about the incident, Aam Aadmi Party’s Chamba spokesman Muhammad Salim said that the contractor had received 20 laborers for the construction of the bus stand and all five became corona positive.
However, after the corona results arrived, the contractor did not enroll them in a quality center. Instead he placed them in a public toilet, often used by people. Salim said that something like this is extremely embarrassing for the Himachal Pradesh government.
Dr. Kapil Sharma, Chief Medical Officer of Chamba, also spoke about the issue and said that he had sent Pangi’s Block Medical Officer to the site, but found that the workers had been isolated in proper accommodation. He further stated that they must have gone to the public toilets, where someone would have clicked his picture.
He also said that he was using the toilet and after objections arose regarding the same, the authorities were instructed to separate him into a proper residence and then he was quarantined in a separate block of bus stand. .
