Vanessa (played by Michelle Hardwicke) and Charity (Emma Atkins) have been trying to get into recent scenes on Emmerdale, despite being reunited after nearly 18 months apart last month. Her life is a bit different now, as the latter is in a relationship with Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) and the village vet trying to start a new chapter as a single mother on the ITV soap. However, during Wednesday night’s installment of the drama, a hint was given about Vanessa being dead as Mackenzie struggles to accept her boyfriend for being friends with her ex-fiancé. As jealousy takes over and the green-eyed monster shows itself, Vanity fans may be heartbroken if it means the two women will have no chance of burning out again.
The latest episode of the weeknight serial drama begins with Charity feeling sorry for herself because she didn’t realize that her son, Ryan Stokes (James Moore), was grieving for his adoptive mother.
Derailed, she blames Mackenzie for trying to drive a wedge between her and her eldest child, not realizing that her boyfriend was the one who asked Ryan to open up about his loss to his birth mother. was asking for
Describing her troubles to Vanessa, the mother of four was shown no sympathy as the village vet told her to downplay her act.
Watching this conversation from afar, Mackenzie sensed that his girlfriend was moving on and was trying to get back with her ex.
As he gets drunk with Don Taylor (Olivia Bromley), Charity does as she turns down glasses of wine to forget her troubles.

Realizing that Charity was in state, Vanessa told her that she made things difficult for herself by repeating the same toxic cycle of behavior by blaming her misadventures on other people.
The mother of four only hears things clear when her ex talks to her and these words of advice blame her for not talking to her boyfriend.
She bumps into Mackenzie in the village, who is clearly very drunk and needs to get some stuff off her chest about the two women.
Charity and Mackenzie were both angry with each other as the former moved out of their house with Vanessa while her boyfriend was hanging out with Don.
“To think I was going to come and apologize to you because Vanessa said I should. How stupid is that?” declared charity.
As Don pushes Mackenzie to the ground, Vanessa tells Charity: “You two are great to each other,” before finally heading home.
Charity tried calling her ex-boyfriend, but to no avail as the village vet had enough to bring her into a toxic relationship.
Charity, annoyed by her lover, told her: “So you’ve got my son and [now] Vanessa Joe is about the only person in the world I can really talk to.
“Great, you wanted to punish me and you did and now we are the same. I’m as lost and sad as you are,” she concluded as she too walked away from Mackenzie lying in the street.
The episode ends and filled with jealousy and anger, Mackenzie can take it into her own hands to make sure Vanity is never together.
With both women quipping about him, he intended to kill either of them, but Vanessa’s death may have had a greater impact.
Not only will he silence his rival, but he will also see Charity suffer the loss of the woman he loves.
To put her at the back of the queue, it would be charity’s punishment and she would have to be with him for the rest of his life.
Whether or not Mackenzie will survive killing Vanessa will be an interesting twist as he may look like Charity murdered him.
But with Vanessa’s death, it would mean that there would be no chance for Vanity to be reunited.
The show’s creator Laura Shaw spoke to Express.co.uk and other media about the future of Vanity and where the two will go in the future.
The soap owner said: “Vanessa is back and apparently going to set Mack and the cat among the pigeons for charity.
“Will we see Charity and Vanessa back together in 2022, or will we see Vanessa moving in a new direction?
“I think it’s time for people to decide whether they are Team ‘Vanity’ or Team ‘McCity’,” she continued, possibly making Vanessa’s days numbered.
Emmerdale currently airs weekdays at 7pm, with an additional episode airing Thursdays at 8pm.
