The England National Team, current European champions, became the second finalist in the 2023 World Cup after an exciting duel against Australia that ended 1-3 in favor of the Lionesses.
In just the first half, the Lionesses managed to gain an advantage against Australia to advance to the grand final of the 2023 World Cup. Their efforts paid off in the 36th minute.
The first danger came from Georgia Stanway with a shot in front of the hosts’ goal, but Mackenzie Arnold was very attentive and managed to save the ball. A few minutes later, Russo appeared on the edge of the area with a shot at the near post that went very close to the Australian goal.
In the 36th minute, Ella Toone’s goal came to give England the lead at the Accor Stadium. The Manchester United player found the ball in the area after Hemp passed Russo, and with a powerful shot, he opened the scoring.
