CHICO – Enloe Medical Center has announced the creation of a new position, Vice President of Philanthropy and Communications. With the new position, the total number of senior managers in the hospital has gone up to seven.
In the new role will be Jolene Francis, former president of the Chico Chamber of Commerce from 2009 to 2011. Francis currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Chamber of Commerce and has been with the hospital since 2011 as Director of Advancement and Communications. 2014.
“I’m really lucky that the teams I’m working with now have been around for a long time and there’s a lot of synergy,” Francis said.
Since Francis joined the hospital, the Enlo Foundation, which she oversees, has raised more than $21 million. Significant fundraising achievements include the purchase of a new FlightCare helicopter in 2015 and the completion of the Starr Cardiovascular Care Center this year. The hospital has also started a regular wellness podcast and regularly releases COVID-19 video updates.
