European Qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup: schedule, standings and results | European Qualifiers

The group stage of the European Qualifiers for the 2022 FIFA World Cup ended on November 16.

Ten teams got a ticket for the World Cup: Belgium, Croatia, Denmark, England, France, Germany, Holland, Serbia, Spain and Switzerland.

The three remaining places in Europe at the World Cup are decided by play-offs: Portugal, Sweden and Wales.

The World Cup draw took place in Doha in April for the tournament which runs from November 21 to December 18 in Qatar. Check out all the games here.

Qatar Friendlies

UEFA has invited the Qatar national team, the current Asian champion, to prepare for the 2022 World Cup. Qatar joined Group A with Portugal, Serbia, Republic of Ireland, Luxembourg and Azerbaijan and played their matches “at home” in Europe to allow their opponents not to have a long trip.

As the host nation of the next World Cup, Qatar automatically qualifies for the finals, meaning none of its results count towards qualification. As a result, all Group A results are shown below.
