The mission of the Excelsior Institute of Torain is to train professionals in the health sector through an advanced, scientific and human educational model and as part of this abstract, it was possible to crystallize the alliance with the University of Alberta in Canada. Allow two excellent nurses to be in that country for the whole month of August of this 2022. Sandra Esves Zavala, language coordinator at the Excelsior Institute and in charge of this project, explained that through an alliance with the Canadian Embassy, an agreement was reached with the prestigious University of Alberta, located in Edmonton.
The students were selected on the basis of their academic record and level of English language and are attended by Sofia Nicole Luna Pacheco, a nursing technical professional intern, and Ana Ximena Germeno López, a student in the fifth semester of the Bachelor of Nursing.
Both will have the opportunity to explore the field of nursing and the hospital system internationally, in addition to gaining new knowledge and interacting with students from other parts of the world.
“It’s a project we’ve been working with for a year, the Canadian Embassy was the one that helped us, the one who guided us. It’s very emotional because they’re the first to go,” said Esves Zavala. They announced that the institute would be in charge of the students’ residency in Canada, besides that they are already in touch with the above university representatives to fix some details.
