This morning, September 20, at 7:15 a.m., a car bomb explosion was recorded in the town of Timba, Cauca. Apparently the terrorist attack targeted the police station, causing severe damage to its structure.
It is currently known that the hospital was also affected by the explosion.
Police General Tito Castellanos confirmed that two people died and two others were injured after the explosion. During the morning the units were again harassed, requiring air support from the armed forces.

Videos released by residents show that the police station structure has been reduced to rubble and residents are appealing for help in dealing with the emergency.
The army and police are guarding this area of the municipality of Buenos Aires and are searching for those responsible for the attack. The attack is believed to have been staged by the Jaime Martínez mobile column of the FARC dissidents’ EMC.
The governor of Cauca, Elías Larrahondo, shared official information indicating that the explosives were left in the immediate vicinity of the station, so this structure suffered the most damage.
In addition, the community school and several commercial businesses are in the immediate vicinity.
Terrorist attacks in Cauca
In the last few hours, the appearance of a possible explosive device was also recorded under a FARC dissident banner hanging from a pedestrian bridge over the Pan-American Highway in the San Rafael sector. The Chiribico military base has been the target of harassment in the last few hours.
In the San Pedro neighborhood of Santander de Quilichao, posters appeared in some houses alluding to guerrilla groups committing crimes in the area. While they were in Suárez, the military base was attacked with three explosions from a truck.
