After the health regulator confirmed the forced intervention of EPS Famisanar, the company assured in a statement that it was not in the liquidation process despite the decision.
They emphasize that the measure taken by Supersalud aims to strengthen the administrative capacity of the EPS, with the aim of continuing to provide quality health services with benefits for users.
“EPS Famisanar is not in the liquidation process, therefore it is not necessary for its members to make transfers to other EPS (…) The EPS invites you not to fall prey to messages or calls from third parties who unscrupulously want to cause confusion and misinformation via this process and to prevent the theft of personal data,” the company continues.
It is also assured that it is “its obligation” to provide excellent service to its more than three million members. “We reiterate that our administrative operations are operating completely normally, as is the provision of health services,” they conclude.
It is recalled that Supersalud decided to force Famisanar to intervene after “the deterioration of its financial indicators, the growing number of complaints from its users and non-compliance with more than ten qualification standards that affect health insurance and the provision of services “, was determined by its affiliated population”.
For the intervention of the EPS, the financial manager Sandra Milena Jaramillo was appointed as special representative, who took office on Friday September 15 and must begin to comply with the regulations established by Supersalud to guarantee the right to health of members.
