265 are the new Carabineros vehicles, which house some powerful Maverick ATVs with 200 horsepower.
The Carabineros de Chile received a delivery of 265 new police vehicles during a handover ceremony in Santiago.
Among the vehicles delivered, five BRP Can-Am Maverick X3 RS All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) stand out, specifically intended for patrols in border areas.
The new vehicle fleet includes a variety of models: Ford New Ranger 4X4, Toyota Corolla Cross and Citroën SpaceTourer 4×2 Transporter with Cell.
Nissan Navara 4×4 armored trucks were also delivered.
The latter is tasked with patrolling the island of Juan Fernández.
In summary, the new equipment includes 124 4×4 trucks, 95 4×2 bridging vans, 22 mobile barracks, 19 armored trucks, 5 buggies for high mountain and difficult-to-access sectors and an ATV.
