Toledo (4-4, 2-2) was leading 13-3 – on two Thomas Clukey field goals and the Finn’s 28-yard TD pass to Bryce Mitchell – with 8:46 left in the second quarter, but the Broncos ( 5-3) , 2-2) hit twice from there. Toledo broke open game in the third quarter. After Finn’s incendiary, Zachary Ford returned Tyler for a score from 33 yards and Micah Kelly added a short TD run. The Finn completed 8 of 24 passes for 138 yards. Bryant Koback ran for 100 yards on 17 carries. The TD reception by McKinley-Lewis and Mitchell was the only catch of their game.
Aleby attached 15 of 29 passes for 232 yards to western Michigan. Skye Moore took eight catches for 128 yards.
