FIR against Narsinghanand and Wasim Rizvi’s posters who ‘disembark the head’, search for people of AIMIM

On April 12, 2021, Asaduddin Owaisi’s All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul Muslimeen (AIMIM) in Kanpur district of Uttar Pradesh against the head of Dasna Devi temple, Yeti Narasimhanand Saraswati and former president of Shia Waqf Board, Wasim Rizvi. Kanpur City Police Has reacted on Twitter today (16 April) taking cognizance of the matter. Police said that an FIR has been registered against the miscreants in connection with the placing of an objectionable and religiously inflammatory poster in Kanpur on 12 April 2021. He further said that a case has been registered under sections 153A and 295A of the IPC and the police is searching for the accused. The Kanpur police assured that efforts were being made to identify the accused. Action will be taken against them as soon as they are arrested.

It is worth noting that recently, posters were put up by AIMIM against former Uttar Pradesh Shia Waqf Board president Wasim Rizvi and Yasin Narasimhanand Saraswati, Mahant of Dasna Devi Temple. The poster featured both of them bending their heads. It was written on the poster – the same punishment, separated from the head. Apart from the religiously inflammatory poster, another poster was also seen in Kanpur. At the top of it is written AIMIM Kanpur and below is a child and a dog, in the mouth of Rizvi and Narasimhanand. Are shown urinating. However, earlier also the Kanpur police had reacted on social media saying that the posters have been removed and the investigation of the case has been started.

It is to be known that on 9 April, police in Balaghat in Madhya Pradesh arrested 4 people of the Muslim community on the charge of putting up the posters of Yeti Narasimhanand. He was identified as Matin Azhri, Shoaib Khan, Qasim Khan and Raza Khan. Opposing the arrest, AIMIM district in-charge Najim Khan had said, “Instead of taking action against those hurting the sentiments of the entire Muslim community, four members of our community have been arrested for putting up their posters.”

It is known that Yeti Narasimhanand has come under attack from the hardliners after a controversial statement on Prophet Muhammad in the press club. On 9 April, Muslims gathered at the Islamia Ground in Bareilly and raised slogans against them ‘head-to-head’.

AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi has also expressed anger at Yati Narasimhanand for allegedly taunting the Prophet. Owaisi wrote on Twitter that insulting the Prophet is absolutely unacceptable. He had asked, “Can these criminals disguised as religious leaders end their unnatural association with Islam? Why spend so much time on something you don’t like. I am sure there will be a lot in your own religion too which can be discussed. ”

At the same time, there is widespread outrage among Hindus after Islamic fundamentalists put up posters to assassinate Yeti Narasimhanand Saraswati. Hindus from various corners of the country have started raising their voices in support of the Mahant.
