New Delhi: Giving information Sunday, police said three people, including a gunman, were killed and one was seriously injured in a Saturday firing at a Wisconsin casino.
“Three other people were shot in or around the restaurant, police shot the gunman,” Brown County Sheriff’s Lieutenant Kevin Pavlak told a news conference after midnight.
Pavlak said investigators believe the gunman was targeting a specific person he was angry with, but the man was not at the OneDa Casino at the time.
Wisconsin Attorney General Josh Kaul tweeted shortly before 10 pm that the scene was contained. There is no longer any danger to the community. He did not provide any other details and an agency spokesman did not immediately respond to the message.
Oneida Casino in Green Bay tweeted on Saturday that the casino had an active shooter. Spokesman Bobby Webster later said the individuals were shot, but did not know how many they were.
Webster cited Oneida police and casino security for his information. She said people were being ejected from casinos and nearby properties.
Oneida Casino is operated by Oneida Nation. Webster said the casino is connected to a large hotel and convention center, Radisson, also owned by Oneida Nation.
