These are some of the most compelling messages that David Hidalgo and Elisabeth Perez general director and marketing director of the candidacy announced this afternoon at the FIS technical committee led by Michel Vion, Secretary General, and Markus Waldner and Peter Gerdol directors of the men’s and women’s World Cup, and other area officials, during the presentation of the Andorran candidacy to host the event in 2029.
The Andorran Ski Federation, owner of the event, also traveled to the annual meeting that the The FIS is organizing in Zurich this week. In the presentation, the most relevant aspects of each of the sections of the candidacy dossier are introduced, such as accommodation, operations, movement and transportation, sustainability, entertainment, marketing and communication, security and scenarios.
FIS members described the Andorran presentation as “impressive”, highlighting the points of heritage, sport (sporting) and sustainability. In addition, they emphasize the emotional aspects of the project in their communication campaign. Later, they presented their proposals Val Gardena (ITA) and Narvik (NOR).
The analysis process by The FIS will continue in the coming months and experts in each area will prepare an assessment report which will be transferred to the council members who will vote on Congress in Reykjavík (Iceland) next June.
