Florida enrollment record for Obamacare program

Millions of Florida residents have signed up for the benefits of the Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare. The state has become number one in the country in terms of total number of beneficiaries with a total of 32 lakh applications, which is 500 thousand more than last year.

According to a press release issued by the program, it has been specified that the number of people enrolled in this affordable health care scheme has increased by about 50% during this period.

The areas with the highest registrations were Doral and Hialeah, where more Cubans reside. Texas came in second behind Florida, which had about 2.4 million members.

Part of the reason for the unusual increase in enrollment is the number of seniors under age 65 living in the state who are not yet eligible for Medicare, the federal health insurance program for seniors.

Obamacare Benefits
