Foo Fighters’ next project could be a real horror show

Dave Grohl is trying to spark interest with his new project: a horror comedy starring himself and the other Foo Fighters.

Grohl announced Monday that the new intimidating film, Studio 666, will be released on February 25th.

The film, based on a story invented by Grohl, concerns the band’s attempts to record a new album at “Encino’s mansion steeped in the gruesome history of rock and roll,” according to the project’s website.

“Once in the house, Dave Grohl fights supernatural forces that threaten both the completion of the album and the life of the band,” the film’s website continues.

In a press release, Grohl said that “After decades of funny music videos and numerous music documentaries behind our collective belts, it’s finally time to take it to the next level … Full-length comedy horror. “

Grohl said the film had been in production for two years and the goal is to “bring back the classic magic of all our favorite rock ‘n’ roll films, but with a twist: gay blood, damn ROCKS.”

Besides Grohl and other Foo Foo fighters – Pat Smeer, Taylor Hawkins, Nate Mendel, Chris Shiflett and Rami Jeffy will star comedians such as Whitney Cummings, Jeff Garlin and Will Forte.
