Football recruitment: Star De La Salle close end promises to join Notre Dame University

Cooper Flanagan described his scholarship from Notre Dame Cathedral as a dream come true, and it didn’t take long for the newest star tight end to raided Concord and promised to play in South Bend.

“We can have these two players as wide receivers, we can keep them in the front line, or we can put them together,” De La Salle coach Justin Alumbaugh said. “They will often play side by side.”

247Sports considers Flanagan to be one of the country’s top 100 recruits in the class of 2023, and the Bay Area’s most acclaimed candidate in his class (juniors still have two full seasons). Tagaloa is a senior in the class of 2022 and has received acceptance letters from California, Arizona, Oregon and other places, but has not yet made a commitment.
