Ford presents its new beast, the new Mustang Mach-E Rally, a model with which it wants to escape the urban asphalt and embark on all kinds of adventures on land.
“Just a year ago this was nothing more than an idea; “What you see today is a testament to the passion and intense creativity of our Model E team,” said Donna Dickson, Mustang Mach-E chief engineer. “We are constantly looking for new forms of performance; The combination of a rally-tuned suspension, a dual-motor electric drive system and great design make the Mustang Mach-E Rally a performance-oriented vehicle that will delight customers looking for new adventures.”
Although this is not a huge surprise, as its first appearance was recently at the 2023 Goodwood Festival of Speed in camouflage, the new Ford Mustang Mach-E Rally opens a new edge for the North American brand.
The Mustang Mach-E Rally is a fully electric vehicle that comes from the Mustang Mach-E family. This model features a Mustang Mach-E GT drivetrain, which is a configuration of two engines that deliver 480 hp (358 kW) of power and 880 Nm of torque. It has a 91 kWh lithium-ion battery.
The vehicle features an exclusive suspension that has been raised 20 millimeters compared to the Mustang Mach-E GT and is equipped with specially developed springs, MagneRide® shock absorbers and 4 and 385 millimeter front brake discs with red painted Brembo -Equipped with brake calipers.
Another feature is the 19″ rally-style alloy wheels in bright white, mounted on 235/55 R19 Michelin CrossClimate2 tires, which provide more lateral support and on slippery surfaces.
A shield was added to the bottom to protect both engines (one on each axle), panels were also added to the doors and an integrated towing eye was added to the front, among other things.
The Mustang Mach-E Rally is honored to introduce Ford’s first RallySport 6 driving mode, designed for off-road driving and adjusting the electronic control systems to provide greater slip, linear throttle response and better damping.
The Mustang Mach-E Rally will be available to order in early 2024.
