Ford will no longer make vehicles in India, production will stop in both plants, know what is the reason

America’s leading automaker Ford has been going through a period of struggle in the Indian market for a long time. The sales of the company’s vehicles are continuously falling in the country, apart from this, the company has also not included any new model in its vehicle portfolio for a long time. Now news is coming that Ford Motor Company has decided that it will stop production at both its manufacturing plants in India.

According to a report in Reuters, Ford Motor Company has reportedly decided to close both its manufacturing facilities in India. It is being told that the company has blamed the non-profit behind this decision. However, no official announcement has been made about it from Ford Motor yet. It is expected that its formal announcement will be made soon.

The report said that one of the sources confirmed that Ford is taking the decision to shut down operations at its Sanand and Maraimalai plants as it does not see any significant gains in India. At the same time, it is also being claimed in media reports quoting sources that the company will continue to sell some of its cars in the country through imports.

The company will also provide support to the dealers, adding that it will serve the existing customers. However, Ford has not commented on this matter yet. Ford will be the third US company to withdraw its business from India after companies like General Motors and Harley Davidson.
