Forensic medicine identifies three bodies found in Pelechua

The decomposed bodies found inside four sacks on May 21, 2023 were identified by forensic doctors of Legal Medicine as three people who had been missing since April 29, 2023 on a business trip from the Sucre Department. Barranquilla City.

The dismembered bodies were identified as: Carmelo Badel Gomez, Julio Miguel Ordóñez Avila and Jaime Antonio Monroy Chamorro, whose relatives reported them missing after they left a business and then their cell phones went off .

A police investigator reported that a relative of one of the victims indicated that he was very scared and took a picture of the area saying he was in danger. Then there was no more signal in the cell phone. The authorities indicated, via satellite equipment, that the last address of the mobile was in the village of Guachaca, Magdalena Department.

The bodies were found in sacks, in Pelechua hamlet, belonging to Tigreras Corregimiento, rural area of ​​Riohacha District, La Guajira Department, in a high degree of decomposition, being transferred to the city of Santa Marta. where they conducted forensic studies and determined the identities of all three men.

The information was provided by a relative of Carmelo Badel Gómez from Corozal municipality in the Sucre department, who were offering up to 10 million pesos as a reward for information leading to the whereabouts of his relative.

It is necessary to remember that, in the municipality of Dibulla, four people from the district of Santa Marta were also thrown to the ground and put in bags, found by a farmer at dawn on 15 April, a terrible incident that shocked the public.
