New Delhi. Former Indian Army chief Manoj Naravane felt sarcasm when he posted a map of China on X (formerly Twitter). While sharing the map, he said that someone has finally found the map of China as it actually is. In this multi-colored map, China has separated many areas, including Tibet, by demarcating them as “illegally occupied” areas. He wrote that this was the true map of China. China is notorious for its expansionist policies.
According to the report published in Times of India, the map showed countries bordering China such as Taiwan, Hong Kong, Tibet, Greece and others as occupied by China. He shared this map at a time when there is uproar in the country over the new map of China. China released a new map of the country on August 28 that included Taiwan, Aksai Chin and India’s Arunachal Pradesh. India has strongly opposed this.

Meanwhile, the map shows Hong Kong (CoHK), Tibet (CoT), Southern Mongolia (CoSM) and Greece (CoT), East Turkmenistan (CoET) and Manchuria (CoM) as countries occupied by China. Co means “China occupied”. At the same time, Taiwan was introduced as the Republic of China Taiwan. China has always claimed all of these lands. At the same time, it has also laid claim to some parts of Arunachal Pradesh and Aksai Chin in India.
On the map, China has shown its claim to a large part of the South China Sea by depicting its claim on the nine-dash line. However, Vietnam, the Philippines, Malaysia and Brunei still claim these parts. Meanwhile, many opposition parties, including the Congress, say that China has grabbed our land in Ladakh and the central government is not doing anything.
On the other hand, after releasing the new map of China, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar had said that other people’s territories do not become yours just through absurd claims. He had said that publishing the map was China’s “old habit” of claiming territories that do not belong. He rejected Beijing’s “absurd claims” and said: “There is no point in issuing the map.”
Let us tell you that in April this year, China unilaterally changed the “name” of 11 areas in northeast India, including mountain peaks, rivers and residential areas.
