Indianapolis ( Associated Press) — Prosecutors say a divorced Indiana couple shared sexually explicit photos and videos of children with former Subway pitchman Jared Fogle, who was sentenced on Monday to decades in prison.
The Justice Department said a federal judge sentenced Angela Baldwin, 40, of Connersville, to 33 years and four months in prison. A jury in October convicted him of two counts of producing child sexual abuse material, one count of conspiracy to produce such material and one count of possessing it.
Her ex-husband Russell Taylor, who founded Fogle, a non-profit, pleaded guilty last year to 30 counts of child pornography and sexual abuse for his acts against nine children. The Justice Department said Taylor, 50, was sentenced earlier Monday to 27 years in prison.
When the crimes occurred, the ages of the victims ranged from 9 to 16 years.
Prosecutors said the couple shared Fogle videos and photos of the girls, which Taylor captured on hidden cameras installed at the then-couple’s Indianapolis home.
Fogle, who became a Subway pitchman after losing more than 200 pounds (90.7 kg) as a college student, was sentenced in 2015 to 15 years in prison for eating the chain’s sandwiches, including possessing or distributing child pornography. and was sentenced to 15 years for traveling across the state. Taylor was executive director of the Jared Foundation, a nonprofit that Fogle started to raise awareness and funds to fight childhood obesity. He provided evidence that led to a criminal case against Fogle, his one-time boss and close friend.

Taylor’s lawyers asked for a 19-year sentence for Pratt, while prosecutors sought a 35-year prison sentence. Pratt sentenced him to a lesser sentence because he provided federal law enforcement with vital information that helped him to bring charges against Baldwin and Fogle.
During Taylor’s sentencing hearings, Pratt described the grooming, exploitation and molestation of four-year-olds from 2011-2015 as a “mutual perversion” between Taylor, Baldwin and Fogle.
Taylor told the court Monday that he was “despicable, selfish, self-loathing, an excuse for regret” for a human being, but that time in prison had changed that. He said he had taken advantage of a sex offender rehabilitation class while in prison.
Federal prosecutor Catherine Olivier read statements during Taylor’s sentencing of some of the victims – some of whom are relatives of Taylor and Baldwin – who said they expected to need mental health support and medication for the rest of their lives. One of the victims said that she checks the camera in the bathroom of a house that does not belong to her.
