The football world was rocked last week when news emerged that Chelsea boss Todd Boehli had met super-agent Jorge Mendes and that Manchester United superstar Cristiano Ronaldo was on the agenda. However, United’s tough stand on Ronaldo’s unavailability ended that story before it even began.
Despite Ronaldo’s prospect of staying at Old Trafford, he was part of discussions between Bohli and Mendes, with other players undoubtedly mentioned. So, Express Sport scans through Mendes’ client book to identify four names Chelsea might be interested in signing this summer.
With Barcelona’s option against Adama Traore’s loan switch made permanent, the flying Spaniard is set to return to Wolves this summer. However, his January exit makes it seem like he is up for a new challenge or Bruno Lage doesn’t fit him into his plans.
In search of new wingers, Chelsea can give them an escape route. Adam could also provide cover for Reece James at right-wing-back, Cesar Azpilicueta’s future is still up in the air and the club captain is more suited to the centre-back.

Marcos Alonso is eyeing a return to Spain this summer, potentially leaving Thomas Tuchel without left-wing-back to compete with Ben Chilwell when he returns from injury. Callum Hudson-Odoi had slotted several times last season, but the youngster’s natural position would suit him as one of Tuchel’s two wide forwards.
Ryan Ait-Nuri has been impressed since joining Wolves, who are understood to be worth £45 million. Whether Chelsea will be willing to pay that unlikely start at Chilwell for the 21-year-old remains to be seen.

Joao Felix recently confirmed that he was happy at Atletico Madrid despite struggling for consistency since his £114m switch in 2019. However, he was not in his plans for the next season after Diego Simeone made it clear that his agent was realizing potential suitors.
If those claims are to be believed, it makes sense that Mendes met with Boehli to bring up Felix’s potential availability. Especially with Chelsea eyeing more than three attackers this summer.
Rafael Leo is coming off an excellent campaign, and it wouldn’t be a surprise if he has lovers, including Chelsea. The 22-year-old forward can play central and left, registering 14 goals and 11 assists to help AC Milan win last season’s Serie A title.
Chelsea may be eyeing Leo in the case of Manchester City chasing down Raheem Sterling. He will also serve as a worthy replacement for Romelu Lukaku before returning to Inter Milan on a season-long loan.
