HOUSTON, Texas – The Texas City Police Department has confirmed the arrest of four people involved in the Sept. 2 killing of a man.
Aaron Rodriguez, Cassie Lopez, Tara Alise Rodriguez and Michael Hernandez were arrested and charged with aggravated kidnapping.
Only Aaron Rodriguez is directly charged with the man’s murder, according to court records.
The victim was identified by authorities as Juan Álvarez, 40, of La Marque.
How did Juan Álvarez’s murder come about?
Texas City officers responded to the 1700 block of Highway 146 at approximately 4:42 p.m. on September 2 after receiving information about a shooting.
Upon arrival, authorities found Alvarez lying on the side of the road, partially in the traffic lane.
Juan Álvarez was taken to HCA Mainland Center Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
What is known about the four people linked to the death of Juan Álvarez?
The four suspects were identified during the Texas City Police Department’s investigation.
- Bail was set at $400,000 for Aaron, 31. He is being held in the Galveston County Jail.
- Bail for Cassie was set at $250,000. He is being held in the Brazoria County Jail.
- Bail for Tara was set at $250,000. He is being held in the Galveston County Jail.
- Bail was set for Michael at $250,000. He is being held in the Harris County Jail.
