Frodert and the Medical College of Wisconsin Health Network selected Xealth, a digital health platform, to help them enroll their employees in Omada Health’s virtual health program. The goal of this program is to help patients maintain a healthy weight to prevent diabetes.
This collaboration between Frodert and Xealth dates back to 2018, when the healthcare network first integrated Xealth into its electronic health record (EHR) system. Since then, Omada Health is the tenth digital health app to be added to the platform. According to Xealth’s press release from September 14, around 1,200 Frodert employees have already registered for the program, and 25 percent are actively participating.
Dr. Carolyn Jasik, chief medical officer at Omada Health, explained that the virtual care program provides a clinically rigorous approach to weight management and diabetes prevention. By combining relationship building, data analysis and technology, the program delivers scalable, results-driven care in the intervals between visits.
