Red Bull has little memory of this season in Formula 1. Few remember, for example, what happened at the beginning of the season. What happened in Monaco or in Canada. What almost happened in the Netherlands. At Verstappen’s house. Little to remember that, for a not exactly short time, it was Fernando Alonso, it was Aston Martin, his great rival in the World Cup.
Yes, it may be far in the past and in the future. That moment may have passed, but it exists. It exists and is a great headache for Max Verstappen and especially for Sergio Pérez. And for a team that has on several occasions called the AMR23 a ‘copy’.

Where they have dominated, so far, the rest of the drivers and teams in the World Championship. On all tracks, Red Bull races. The Red Bull ran. Red Bull has never suffered a greater defeat than the one Carlos Sainz inflicted on them in Singapore.
But it could be Alonso in Monaco or in Canada. Or in Zandvoort. That, for Horner, is in the past. It’s too late.
“The grid is moving a lot behind. One week it’s McLaren… but the next it’s Ferrari, or maybe Mercedes,” he said.
“We are limited”
In the meantime, they, at full speed: “We are 90% always in front … and we are limited in the number of car development.”
“The team has done a great job to develop the car and reduce the weight. We have maintained a good performance on all tracks,” he insisted.
And not much has changed: “We have the same chassis as in 2022, and the same gearbox. A lot has been maintained.”
