Maruti Suzuki India is rapidly updating its lineup for the Indian market and is set to introduce several new vehicles, including a new mid-size SUV to take on the Hyundai Creta. The new Alto K10
Maruti Suzuki has already launched the Alto K10 in the Indian market and is all set to make a comeback with the new generation Alto very soon. The company is going to launch it in India on August 18. The next generation Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 will now be based on the same Heartect platform that underpins the Celerio, Maruti WagonR, Maruti S-Presso. According to the leaked documents of Maruti Alto K10, this hatchback will be launched in STD, LXi, VXi and VXi + variants. All these will also get the (O) variant. Also included in 3 variants with Automatic Gear Shift (AGS). All these variants are powered by a 1.0-litre petrol engine.
Maruti YTB SUV
The new YTB SUV will be launched in late 2022 or before March 2023. The YTB SUV will share its powertrain options with the Baleno. It will compete with compact SUVs like Nissan Magnite, Renault Kiger, Tata Punch, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Kia Sonet and Hyundai Venue. Not much information has been released about this yet.
Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara
The Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara was unveiled a few days ago and has been receiving an overwhelming response since the bookings began. Its price will be announced on July 20. So far more than 26000 units of Grand Vitara have been booked. It can be launched in India at an initial price of Rs 10 lakh.
The company claims that the mileage of the powerful hybrid model of the Grand Vitara is up to 28 kmpl. The Grand Vitara’s powerful hybrid powertrain will be offered in variants like the Jetta+ and Alfa+. Both these trims are powered by a 1.5-litre 3-cylinder petrol engine coupled with powerful hybrid technology. This includes a 0.76kW lithium-ion battery pack. The SUV is equipped with Suzuki’s AllGrip All Wheel Drive system and gets driving modes like Auto, Sport, Snow and Lock.
