The country’s largest automaker Tata Motors is also now preparing to increase its speed in the CNG race. Tata Motors is soon going to introduce new CNG variants of its 4 models in the domestic market. This will include compact sedans, sub-compact SUVs, entry-level hatchbacks and premium hatchback cars.
So far, Maruti Suzuki has been occupied in the CNG market, with the maximum number of 6 CNG models in the vehicle portfolio of Maruti Suzuki. But now Tata Motors will offer its cars with CNG kit. In which cars like Tigor sedan, Nexon, Tiago and Altroz are included. Although the company has not yet made any official announcement about the launch dates of these cars, but some of these cars were seen during testing.
Recently, Altroz CNG was spotted during testing in Pune. The company will offer some selected variants of this car with the company fitted CNG kits. At present, this car comes in a total of 7 variants. According to the information, this CNG kit will be offered with a 1.2 liter naturally aspirated engine, which generates 85bhp power and 113Nm torque. CNG kit will not be provided in the diesel variant.
What will be the price and mileage:
As of now, there is no information about the mileage of these cars yet. But of course these cars will give better mileage. As far as the price is concerned, experts believe that CNG cars can be up to Rs 50,000 more expensive than petrol-diesel variants.
Talking about other news, recently Tata Motors took the wraps off its micro SUV Tata Punch. The booking of which has started at some dealerships in the country. It is being told that the company can launch this car for less than Rs 5 lakh. This SUV will be introduced in the festive season.
