The Director General of Customs and representative of Sergio Massa’s economic team, Guillermo Michel, confirmed that there will be new measures for all sectors, especially for informal and self-employed workers, and that they will be announced next week.
In addition, he announced that the amount withheld for personal income tax in proportion to the July, August and September bonus will be taken into account in the salary for the current month and has already been published in the Official Gazette.
“The employer must note this on the salary receipt. It is a 3.5 to 4% improvement in out-of-pocket salary,” Michel told AM750.
Regarding the income tax project that the ruling party submitted to Congress, Michel assured that they have the votes in both chambers to make it law.
In this sense, the official addressed the opposition, claiming that the measures announced by Massa last week, such as the “purchase without VAT” program and the abolition of income tax, were “very virtuous”.
“Making economic policy decisions that benefit retirees and workers is not a ‘small-change plan.’ It pursues economic policy with measures that go beyond us,” explained Michel in Take and Take.
Finally, the Director General of Customs explained that the VAT refund “starts a virtuous cycle of money laundering” and that the program is now in force on plastic debit cards and the electronic means of payment linked to a debit card.
He also clarified that Banco Provincia’s DNI account is integrated and the rest of the virtual wallets will be added this week so that the benefit can be added via bank transfer.
