All members will host once by the end of 2025
All G-20 members will host at least one summit by the end of 2025, reaching the point where rotation resumes. America hosted the first G20 summit in Washington in 2008.
The presidents of China and Russia did not come to India
Neither Chinese President Xi Jinping nor Russian President Vladimir Putin were present at the G20 summit in India. The G-20 is divided into regional subgroups whose members decide who hosts the summit. America belongs to a group with Canada, Australia and Saudi Arabia.
What did America say?
On Saturday in New Delhi, US deputy national security adviser John Finer said that India, Brazil and South Africa are the current and next two G-20 chairs. He is committed to the success of the G-20 and America. We will host three after these. If China doesn’t come, we believe it will be unfortunate for China.

Spoke at the summit
Qing, who holds the status of the second most powerful leader of the ruling Chinese Communist Party (CCP), has arrived in New Delhi to attend the annual G20 summit hosted by India in place of President Xi Jinping. Prime Minister Qing said that this influential group needs unity rather than division, cooperation rather than confrontation, and inclusion rather than isolation.
He mentioned that the fate of humanity is divided. He called on all countries to respect each other, put aside differences, find common ground and live together in peace. The Chinese Prime Minister said that no one can remain untouched by major crises and common challenges.
He said that unity and cooperation is the right path for the world. According to him, the Chinese economy is finding it difficult to get back on track after the Covid-19 lockdown. Qing said China will continue to accelerate reforms, expand opening-up and promote high-quality development and modernization.
