New Delhi: East Delhi MP and former cricketer Gautam Gambhir has stepped up to address the lack of oxygen in Delhi. Gambhir tweeted on Saturday and said, “I have been trying to arrange for an oxygen concentrator for a few days. They have finally been arranged. Whoever needs may message me WhatsApp on number 8595785545. A form has to be filled here and after that we will make free arrangement of oxygen concentrator. Gambhir further said – Delhi will not give up. Gambhir’s tweet has been retweeted by many cricketers.

It is noteworthy that there is a huge shortage of oxygen in hospitals across the country, including Delhi. Due to lack of oxygen, the patients are continuously dying. Recently, an important decision was taken in a high-level meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to meet the oxygen shortage. According to this, 1 lakh portable oxygen concentrators will be procured from PM Care Fund. With this, 500 oxygen plants have been approved.

What is an oxygen concentrator

An oxygen concentrator, a large briefcase, is a machine that performs the task of separating oxygen from the air. It can be easily transported anywhere. This machine takes out the external air and separates the other gases from it and supplies pure oxygen to a large extent. It is considered an alternative to oxygen cylinder. It can be used at home. A concentrator can supply about 5 to 10 liters of oxygen in a minute.

The only difference between the oxygen concentrator and the cylinder is that the concentrator purifies the air and makes it available to patients who have low oxygen levels in their blood. While the cylinder is already filled with oxygen inside the tank. Doctors consider the oxygen concentrator safe to a large extent. However, it is important for any patient to consult a doctor before use.
