A recent survey by ExpressVPN aimed to delve into the different hunting habits of different age groups, asking why people between the ages of 30 and 40 are more hooked on hunting than younger people. An industry that, as you know, has grown exponentially in recent decades, turning gaming into one of the greatest forms of entertainment, thanks to which it is possible to escape from the everyday real world that video games provide us. Experiences that may also meet new people or strengthen ties with current friends.
The study, which was conducted among 1,000 gamers in the US and 1,000 in the UK, found for the first time that millennial gamers (aged between 20 and 40) are labeled as more devoted to the game than people among Gen Z (from teenagers to the people of the 20th and 29th centuries). Something that is taken to percentages, indicates that 68% of gamers between 30 and 40 years old answered that they play video games every day, while 58% of 20 year olds do.

The survey also provided another important piece of information, since, although video games are becoming an increasingly popular activity among women, there is still a gender gap in the perception and meaning they have in life. The study revealed that although women admit to playing similar games, they are less willing to do so than men. But also, according to the answers, it is ensured that male players usually connect with their friends, as well as meet new people.
The differences between the behavior of women and men that the survey also highlighted in the genres and titles they want to play. From the responses, it was determined that 40% of women indicated that they preferred single player sports titles and men preferred action games, with the majority citing Call of Duty and FIFA as their two favorite titles. And not too surprising, since old games are always the industry 79% of those surveyed indicated that they constantly play “retro” video games, including Super Mario Bros., Pac-Man, Tetris and Mario Kart.
The data provides a clear picture of how the community behaves, whether they are young or adult gamers, men or women, information that helps developers create video games that are not only inclusive, but also appeal to diverse audiences.
