George, Jackson Lead Clippers Past Hornet, 120-106

LOS ANGELES (AP) – Paul George scored 20 points, Reggie Jackson 19, and the Los Angeles Clippers beat the Charlotte Hornets 120-106 on Sunday night for their fourth straight win.

Luke Kennard had 18 points, and Terrence Mann finished with 17 points and 10 rebounds. Down 13 in the first quarter and a nine-point hole in less than seven minutes, the Clippers had 22-0 to take a 115-102 lead.

LaMelo Ball, from nearby Chino Hills, had 21 points in his fourth straight loss to the Hornets. Ball played his first game in Los Angeles since a fracture in his right wrist forced him to miss 21 games last March against the Clippers.

Miles Bridges also had 21 points for the Hornets, and Terry Rozier added 17.

Charlotte got a 3-pointer from Rosier with 7:09 to play, then didn’t score another field goal until a lap by Bridges with 1:09 remaining.


Hornets: FPJ Washington misses his second game in a row with a left elbow. …C Mason Plumley was in the starting lineup after making a game-time decision with a left rib injury, but failed to reach double digits in rebounds or points for the sixth game in a row.

Clippers: C Serge Ibaka was active for the first time this season after back surgery in June and made his debut in the first quarter with 3:52 remaining. He did not score any goal in three shots in eight minutes.


Hornet: On Monday night in Los Angeles.

Clippers: Hosts Portland on Tuesday nights.
