Ford said: ‘This is the country that Georgia Love accepted a free trip to visit. Out of 81 you can be sure that there are a disproportionate number of women, homosexuals and possibly journalists. Did you really need a freebie trip to bad Georgia?’

Lee later defended his visit, saying that he and Georgia were “not being paid” to travel and did not endorse “past behavior or human rights violations in this country” in any way. Huh.
