The new exhibition of the contemporary artist, Gerardo Campos “The Artist”, is titled “Artistic Evolution” and will be a journey of his career for more than 10 years.
This exhibition will open its doors starting August 24 at Hotel Renaissance Caracas and show the versatility of his artistic style and its evolution over time.
This initiative comes from the desire that Gerardo Campos feels to bring his work to the public eye and for people to enjoy his modern artistic proposal in the city.
Graduated from the Altos de Chavón School of Art and Design in the Dominican Republic, the main headquarters in Latin America of the “Parsons School of Design” in New York, the artist developed his own style that comes from mixing different styles such as Pop Art, Street Art, figurative and abstract.
“Creating for the future” is his motto and the main inspiration for creating an awakening of the conventional in his audience.
During the exhibition, visitors will see his most emblematic works that reflect his career, along with works from collections such as “The Artist”, “Artistic Conection”, “Penguin Endless Love” and “A Gran Escala”, the exhibition includes a journey through the artist’s life.
He works on pianos, vehicles, large murals, antiques and more, applying more than 7 techniques in his works such as acrylic, pen, gold leaf, pointillism, spray, stencil , silkscreen, etc.
In general, you can appreciate the artist’s own spirit with “The Line” which is always present in his artistic work.
Gerardo Campos’ exhibition will continue for the next three months
Currently, Gerardo Campos is a pioneer in the country who creates works that combine technology and art, using Augmented Reality and Artificial Intelligence.
In fact, the exhibition will show the presence of his iconic “Penguin Endless Love” where one of them will measure two meters and will be an interactive piece where people can take photos.
The sculpture “Penguin Endless Love” appeared nine years ago and the artist intended with it to represent the boundless love of emperor penguins when they are looking for that soul mate who will be with them for the rest of their lives.
