An alleged lover lost his life while attempting to murder a girlfriend in Mumbai. It is reported that in an area of the metropolis, a lover went to his house to burn his girlfriend alive. But the girlfriend caught him so tightly during the occasion that he died by burning himself in flames. At the same time, reports of the death of girlfriend are also being said in some media reports.
DCP Mahesh Reddy told That the entire incident is on 6 February 2021 at the girl’s residence in Gandhi Nagar area of Jogeshwari East. Before that, the girl’s family members had allegedly refused to get the daughter married to a young man named Vijay Khambe. After this he came out drinking and started harassing the girl. The girl slowly kept distance from him. But she was constantly fed up with such activities.
On 6 February, Vijay approached her on the pretext of the girl’s well being and reached her house when no one was there. He also took a bottle of petrol with him. When the conversation increased, he poured all the petrol on the girl and set her on fire.
As soon as the whole body caught fire, the girl caught Vijay so tightly that he himself got trapped in the flames. After this both of them exited the house. Then the neighbors saw both of them burning. They somehow extinguished the fire and took both of them to the Trauma Center Hospital. From there he was sent to JJ Hospital.
During his treatment at the hospital, Vijay was declared dead shortly after. While news of the girl’s death came later. The Mumbai Police has registered a case in this regard. The rest of the investigation is still being done.
