“Go Find a Good Job”: This Is the Average Hourly Wage in the Orlando Area

Orlando Florida. , Even though the ideal average hourly wage in central Florida would be $33 an hour, most workers earn about $10 less, according to economist Rafael Botero.

According to the Program for Occupational Wage and Employment Statistics (OEWS), most workers earn $24.41.

The OEWS, which estimates annual employment and wages for about 830 occupations, posted on its website that accountants and auditors are among occupations that earn $36.66 an hour, while janitors earn $13.37 for the same amount of time .

The economist explained to Telemundo 31 that the year 2023 could bring a complicated economy due to the fact that the Federal Reserve is looking to raise interest rates strongly.

“Because of this, we will see unemployment start rising, which remains low… People will have to see how they adjust with the job. So look for a good job to face the new one with high level of unemployment and decline in economic growth,” said the expert.

According to OEWS data, the unemployment rate in Orange County was 2.7 in November 2022, a decline in the number from November 2021.

Occupational wage and employment statistics data for May 2022 will be released on March 31, 2023.
