Apex Legends is one of the most competitive video games in the world, with ALGS being the pinnacle of competition. Given the nature of the game, there are always incidents of fraud and use of unfair means that come out against players. Recently the former number one Predator ZANFPS has come under scrutiny due to allegations of fraud.
It is quite common for competitive FPS games to be plagued by cheaters, and developers keep implementing new measures to combat them. While almost anyone can cheat, highly ranked players trying to win through unfair means are looked down upon by the community. According to a post on Reddit, that seems to be the case with ZaineFPS, and its defense isn’t doing the community any favors.
Former Apex Legends top-ranked player has been charged with fraud
The main allegation is based on a clip sent to Twitch streamer sh1nii. In the clip, ZanFPS is seen shooting a camper. Interestingly, the camper was there for a long time, and it was Zain who discovered it. When his friend asked for more details, Zain clarified that it was a camper which makes it quite interesting.
When confronted, the explanation given by ZainFPS did not satisfy many as they cited the offer to watch as the main reason. However, he then removed the clip of the case, raising suspicion.
Naturally, Apex Legends players also reacted to the incident. One user stated that there is a texture bug in the map that causes this problem. Perhaps this was the reason why ZANFPS was able to see the camper.
Another user replied that if this were the case, the video would have seen a bug. The removal of the video makes it all the more suspicious for the Zain community.
One user said that it is very possible that the wall was not rendered, but that ZainFPS should have been able to explain the situation.
Another Apex Legends player commented that if Zayn is really cheating he should be banned.
Zayn seems to have apparently removed several clips that contained suspicious behavior on his part.
Many players are not fans of Easy Anti-Cheat because they believe that the software fails in its purpose. For some, there are several highly ranked players who could possibly cheat.

The case of ZaineFPS is not open and closed. The map’s history of render bugs makes it even harder to come to a conclusion, as the community continues to weigh in on the situation on Reddit posts.
