Gomez denies Montt arrest warrant, says he’s already paid the settlement

Host Inés Gómez Montt confirmed that the charges against him for tax crimes are not for 3 billion pesos, but for 14 million pesos.

In a statement, he said that it is a lie that there is an order to take him to jail:

…it is completely false that pre-trial detention was ordered or requested against me, as today’s cover incorrectly states remodeling,

The driver states that the said arrest warrants are not new, as they have been in process for more than a year and she is fighting against them in court.

take advantage of the publication of remodeling To confirm that it is false he is accused of tax crimes for 3 billion pesos.

According to her version, the Mexican justice was looking for her in the case of 14 million pesos, of which she had already agreed to pay an indemnity agreement with the FGR.

His statement said that he has already signed an indemnity agreement before November 30, 2018, for which he has paid 13.5 million pesos.

He said that he would present his case in the court.

With this statement, the television host broke a 67-week silence since on October 14, 2021 she published a text in which she claimed to be a victim of judicial abuse.

I repeat it and I stand by it: I am innocent and this is an injustice.

Here is the text he published today:

I want to inform you that it is completely false that pretrial detention was ordered or requested against me, as wrongly written in the cover of @Reforma today.

This is a false headline without any support.

Besides, none of the arrest warrants he mentions are new.

They are over a year old and are currently being argued in court.

@Reforma’s note is right about something. It has been reiterated in public opinion and social networks that they accuse me of alleged laundering or diversion of 3,000 million pesos from a public contract – which of course I strongly deny.

I said it the day before, I repeat it and today @Reforma confirms it: the charge against me is not for 3,000 million pesos, as maliciously stated, but for 14 million pesos, which I am clear about I defend myself valiantly in court.

So it is a lie that has been repeated over and over again until it becomes the truth. pause! I want to inform you that on November 30, 2018, I entered into a pre-tax compensation agreement with FGR and paid 13.5 million pesos.

I don’t understand why they don’t know that payment. I will continue to present my defense before the judicial precedents to which I express my respect.
