People living in Delhi will be able to charge their electric vehicles (EVs) for free from 12 noon to 3 pm at more than 40 public charging stations in the national capital from June 1. Officials say the move is aimed at promoting the use of electric vehicles.

EV Charging Startup Electriva has launched the EV Free Charging initiative in the afternoon, which has partnered with three municipal corporations to set up more than 40 public charging stations in Delhi.

Besides, unit charge has been fixed at Tk 10 per train at these charging stations in the morning and evening. Sumit Dhanuka, founder of Electriva, said his company would set up a charging station every three kilometers in Delhi.
