Amit Kumar, New Delhi: The government is preparing for big action against the Naxalites who have become canker for the internal security system of the country. In this episode, Home Minister Amit Shah is going to go to Chhattisgarh today. The Home Minister will pay tribute to the martyrs killed in the Naxalite attack in Bijapur here on Saturday and will hold a meeting with top officials of CRPF. During this meeting, the Home Minister will discuss further strategies against the Naxalites with the officials.
Earlier, Home Minister Amit Shah had canceled his Assam tour midway on Sunday and returned to Delhi. On returning to Delhi, the Home Minister held a late night meeting with the officials and reviewed the situation. Giving a strong message to the Naxalites, the Home Minister said that ‘our soldiers have given martyrdom. We will not tolerate this bloodshed and will give a befitting reply when the appropriate time comes. ‘ He said that the search operation is on in Chhattisgarh after the encounter. The government will continue its fight against such enemies of peace and progress. At the same time, he said that ‘our fight with the Naxalites will continue with strength and we will take it to the end’.
Let us tell you that on April 3, 23 soldiers were killed in an encounter between security forces and Naxalites at the border of Bijapur-Sukma district of Chhattisgarh. While many jawans were seriously injured. The condition of several jawans seriously injured remains critical. It is being told that about 400 Naxalites were involved in this ambush on security forces.
In fact, the intelligence agencies had received intelligence about 60-70 Naxalites coming to Sirger and 40-50 Naxalites to reach Boduguda. Based on this information, 3 out of 6 teams were sent for operation on 2 April at 10 pm. The team consisted of people from DRG, COBRA and STF. They were to go to Alipuda and Jonaguda. After this, they were to return to the next day i.e. April 3, after carrying out the operation. This team went deep inside. After this, the Naxalites surrounded them and attacked them. Naxalites used machines, LMGs as well as IEDs on security forces in the attack.
