The head of the local executive, Lorena Cuellar Cisneros, led the ceremony to award incentives and medals to teachers for 60, 50, 40 and 30 years of service within the framework of “Teacher’s Day”.
At the ceremony held in the Joaquin Cisneros Fernandez Room of the Exhibitor Center, the governor recognized the important work they do in the classroom to transform the destinations of girls, boys and youth.
“This May 15, Teachers’ Day, we honor their vocation of service to the well-being of our children and youth with the distribution of two medals that honor the great teachers in our history like the one to recognize teachers with 40 Vala Altamirano Teacher Award for years of service and more, as well as the Rafael Ramirez Teacher Medal to those who have done this work for more than 30 years.
He affirmed that in the new history of Tlaxcala, the state government is an ally of teachers, a fundamental pillar guaranteeing universal, public and free education for girls, boys and adolescents.
“We are a government close to the teaching profession that respects the role of the teacher as a transformator of realities and a collaborator for the good of the people, we are a government that is sensitive to the complex and unequal contexts they face, For this reason, we support them in their legitimate wishes for better education and working conditions.
Before the winners, Cuellar Cisneros called on members of the teaching profession to contribute every day to the important task of teaching the children of the state.
“It is my honor that a teacher is the governor of that state. And of course, today I deeply recognize your work, I know how difficult it is to be in front of a group, how difficult it is to serve parents and give them a good account, but above all to myself ”.
Earlier, Cutberto Chávez de la Rosa, Secretary General of Section 31 of the National Union of Education Workers (SNTE), recognized the commitment of all teachers who contribute to the education of children and youth in Tlaxcala.
“Undoubtedly the nation will always be indebted to you, to all those generations of trainers who have coached for 30, 40, 50 and even 60 years; Comprehensive development of participatory and critical professional citizens. The ceremony was attended by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the State Congress, Vladimir Zainos Flores; Representatives of the head of the State Secretariat of Public Education (SEPE) and Tlaxcala Educational Services Unit (USET), Homero Meneses Hernández, and the director of labor relations, Rafael Buñuelos Flores, among other officials.
