90s Bollywood superstar Govinda’s last film hit theaters in 2019. The actor, who has been missing from the industry for the last four years, has now made a shocking revelation.
Govinda said he rejected projects worth about Rs 100 crore last year. He did this because there was nothing new in the roles offered to him.
The actor has not been seen in any film in the last 4 years.
Doesn’t say yes to any job easily: Govinda
Recently, the actor did a media interaction on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi. While saying this, he said, “It’s not easy for me to say yes to any work, but to those who think that I don’t have a job, I want to tell them that Bappa has blessed me.” I have projects worth last year around 100 Crore Rupees rejected.
I want to do work at an extreme level
Govinda further said, “I stood in front of the mirror and slapped myself for not signing any project.” They offered me a lot of money but I didn’t want to play any role. I wanted something I hadn’t done before. Something extreme level.

Recently, Ameesha Patel had revealed that Govinda was the makers’ first choice for Gadar-Ek Prem Katha.
Debuted in 1986 and appeared in around 170 films
Govinda, who has appeared in around 170 films, made his Bollywood debut in 1986. He was so popular in the ’90s that he set the record for signing the most films at the same time. The actor was last seen on the big screen in “Rangeela Raja” in 2019.
Govinda was the first choice for “Gadar” – Ameesha Patel
Recently, Gadar 2 fame actress Ameesha Patel had revealed that Govinda was the first choice for 2001’s Gadar: Ek Prem Katha. However, director Anil Sharma had clarified this and said that he only narrated the story of the film to the actor. He wasn’t offered the film.
