How to prepare green tea

Timing is important. Steeping too long will result in a more bitter tea with a less balanced flavor. If you brew leaf tea, it’s best to try between 1 and 3 minutes.

Those that come from Japan (such as sencha, bancha and matcha) taste better between 1 and 2 minutes; Whereas the Chinese versions (such as Lung Ching and Gunpowder) are best for 2-3 minutes. If you made your own green tea bags, start with 1-2 minutes and test the steaming time.
