Guadalajara: Note, these are road closures for the Cry of Independence and patriotic parade

On the occasion of the national celebration that will be held this Friday and Saturday, in Guadalajara there will be various road closures, which citizens should consider to carry out their activities quickly.

The closures will be carried out by the State Security Secretariat (SSE), through the Road Police Station, “in guarantee the safety of those who attend events that frame patriotic celebrations”, which is why it is requested to pay attention and respect the instructions of the officials.

First, on the occasion of the Cry of Independence ceremony and the concerts in Plaza Liberación, from 2:00 am Friday, September 15 until 2:00 a.m. the next day operational personnel will enforce the ban on the passage of vehicles on the streets of the first square in the city.

The restricted quadrant is comprised of Independencia, Contreras Medellín, Venustiano Carranza streets and Juárez Avenue. Likewise, in starting at 6:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 16, An operation will be carried out for the civic parade referring to the date, where traffic closures will be implemented in the following avenues: • Chapultepec Avenue, in general (from Mariano Otero to México Avenue).

  • Mariano Otero Avenue, from Chapultepec to Lluvia Street.
  • Av. Niños Héroes, from Avenida Unión to Enrique Díaz de León.

Actions will continue until the end of the events and will be carried out in coordination with various security corporations, reported the Security Secretariat. “To avoid accidents and failures, citizens who regularly use these routes are called to anticipate their transfers.“, consider using alternative routes, as well as following the instructions from the officials in the area,” explained the agency.
