Vinicius Jr (Real Madrid) on Thursday because of the reaction against the racist insults that he heard in the recent Spanish league match in Valencia.
Vinicius Jr (22 years old) denounced the racism that he hears in the stadiums, saying that “racism in LaLiga” is normal and criticizes those who are responsible for the competition for not acting effectively enough against the problem. What happened caused a stir both in Spain and abroad.
“It’s shocking to think that in 2023 we’ll still be seeing and hearing these things,” Hamilton said in a press conference ahead of the Monaco F1 Grand Prix, which takes place this weekend.
“It brings me an emotion, from what I have experienced, whether in Britain or when I was running in Italy, France or Spain,” he said. “What people say can be very destructive. I think he was an incredibly strong man,” said Vinicius.
Hamilton himself has shown his support for the fight against racism many times and has become a symbol of this cause in the sporting world.
