Happiness, Well-being and Human Development: Topics to be addressed in the ULS Chair

This 10th August, a new cycle of the Ral Bitran Nachari chair will begin and, as always, an annual theme will be addressed from different perspectives with guest panels. On this occasion, the theme of 2022 will be “Cartography of Happiness: Wellbeing and Human Development” and will have five monthly dialogue panels, starting from 3:00 PM on 10th August. “Happiness, sustainability and psychology: key aspects of human development for creating happiness”.

This introductory activity will feature a presentation and talk by Monica López Hernando, a psychologist specializing in happiness, director of the Wellness Institute and member of the Board of Directors of the Vivir + Feliz Foundation; Héctor Bugueño Egaña, Doctor of Education, Professor of Biology and Natural Sciences and Director of the ULS Department of Education. The panel will be guided and driven by Carola Espinoza Orellana, Director of Strategic Communications ULS.

The next activities will be: Rethinking the paradigm in elementary education; exploring worldwide happiness, human development and its indicators; Analyzing innovation in the service and development of humanity; Healthy aging, happy aging; and culture and human development. To increase public engagement with guests, all activities will be broadcast on the ULS-YouTube channel linking with the media and will be available on the same channel later.
