According to official sources, the 100% electric Kwid will have a range of about 300 kilometers on a single charge, which represents about a week’s use in the city. Again, the solid reports that after 40 minutes recharged, 80% energy has been reached in its battery.
It combines the Kwid’s electric systems under the umbrella of its E-Tech Electric platform, widely used in the French market. It is worth noting, not less important, that together with the Kwid a 100% electric Megane will also land on the market. Although in this case, there are still no services.
The big aesthetic difference that the electric Kwid will present compared to the one that rolls through the streets of Mexico today is the front. In the E-Tech version, the grill will not have ventilation holes, since there is no combustion engine in the front area, so they are not necessary.
Again, the traditional pipe will be removed from the rear, in the same way. Electrification deals with excess gas emissions. In terms of dimensions, Renault confirms that the Kwid will remain the same. It is worth mentioning that the prudence of size is one of the strong points of the French agreement.

The “traditional” Kwid in 2022 received a revolutionary, it received a “mini” SUV aesthetic. The highlight of this hatchback is its remarkably low fuel consumption. We must remember that it is designed and designed for the user who is looking for a car for the first time.
In its design lines we see, as we said before, a car intended for the use of youth. That did not happen by accident. As we know, within the automotive industry, the car is a project in search of future buyers.

The Kwid is presented in Mexico as an acceptable option with 4 versions currently, to which the fifth E-Tech will be added. I don’t want to put the best opportunity, since I believe that other competitors in the segment, like Nissan March-, offer better quality of materials and superior motorization.

The Kwid has a front engine, 1.0 liters and 3 cylinders. This combination allows a maximum power of 66 CV. As you know, the car is designed for daily use in the city, no more than 100 km/h from this supermarket require a good performance. The gearbox is manual, five speed.
Kwid’s main market competitors
There are two options that are presented to the Kwid market. The first is the Nissan March. This contract was renewed in 2021, with excitement and equipment. The brand is a classic city hatchback with a great price/quality balance. The design of this Japanese car shows the new era of Nissan, with silver grille details and sharp heads.
In terms of direct market competition, the Kwid is being demanded by the Grand i10 from South Korean house Hyundai. This car has been updated in 2020 in terms of aesthetics and equipment. As you will see, it is a car designed with light lines, nothing loaded, nor “violent”. The Maxima i10 also has silver versions if you prefer.

It is quite confirmed that from June/2023, the 100% electric Kwid will start arriving at different official Renault dealers scattered throughout Mexico. Only time will dictate the future of the Kwid, without a doubt it is a more than interesting proposition for the market which, year after year, increases its 100% electric catalog.
